Shoes!

Mama, Daddy and I went to Yukon, OK to buy my first pair of walking shoes! On Thursday we wen to the park and all I wanted to do was walk on the sidewalks. So Mama thought it was time to buy a pair of shoes. In Yukon there was a kid's consignment sale. So this afternoon we all got in the car to drive to Yukon. There was a perfect pair of shoes there just for me! The best part is that they only cost $2.50 because it was 1/2 price day! Thank you Jesus!

Afterwards, Mama and Daddy and I stopped at McDonald's to rent a movie and pick up dinner. It is a special treat to eat out, we don't do it very often. Daddy ordered chicken nuggets and french fries, so Mama let me take a small taste! I loved gnawing on the fries and little pieces of nuggets!
Its movie night here, so I'd better go!

Thank God I'm Forgiven!
Although I haven't yet chosen God as my savior, I am learning about him everyday. Mama and Daddy help me pray, read stories in the Bible and tell me that Jesus loves me!
My friend Ainsley came over for a playtime this morning. She took a nap for some of the time, but we did get to play.
I took a nap just after Ainsley left for two hours! Mama relaxed and did the laundry while I napped.
This afternoon I got to splash in the kitchen sink while Mama did the dishes. I had quite a bit of fun. Mama gave me a sponge that wasn't full of soap because I kept wanting to put hers in my mouth! Yuck!
I'm was very happy to see Daddy come in the door after work! He and I are playing games now that dinner is over! Its almost time for bath, stories and bed. I'll write more later!

Busy, busy, busy

This morning has been crazy! Mama and I got the chance to take Daddy to work this morning. His friend Russ wasn't feeling good, so Daddy couldn't carpool.
After dropping Daddy off, Mama and I went to the Post Office, Dr. Rowe's office, Lake Hefner, and now we're back home again! Whew!
We had fun at Lake Hefer this morning. We met Miss Heather and my friend Ainsley as well as some other mommies and kiddos for a walk. After our walk we stayed and played at the Little Hands Park. They have a Jeep there that I got to drive! It was super fun!
This afternoon Mama and I are going to head over to Northchurch to help Miss Brandi put together the supplies for Northkids.
Its a busy day, but I'm having fun! I hope you're having fun doing whatever fills your day!

Super Sunday

Today was a great day. Mama and I woke up to play games together, spend some time worshipping God at church, take a nap, go for a swim and snuggle for bed.
The thing that was a "first" today took place just before storytime tonight. Mama asked Daddy to go and get a pair of scissors and a bowl. Mama gave me my first haircut. (Its too bad our camera is no longer working---cause I look good!) :)

Tomorrow is Monday which means my friend Ainsley comes for a play time. Yippee!!!!

11 months old!

Well, its official, I'm 11 months old. Can you believe it? Mama says she can't! Its been an eventful day so far.

Mama and I went to Lake Hefner and went for a walk with Miss Heather and Ainsley. Mama and Miss Heather are trying to walk 2 miles in 30 minutes. Today was the third day that we walked the 2 miles and we did it in 33 minutes! Are we good or what?

After our walk at the lake, Mama and I came home for a nap. After my nap, we went to the dr.'s office. We stayed for an hour because Mama was a new patient. The dr. adjusted Mama's shoulder and told her not to lift more than 10 pounds. She smiled at him with a silly smile because that didn't seem like a reality.

This afternoon we played all afternoon until it was time to go pick up Daddy from work.

On a side note: Our family camera gave up the ghost this afternoon after I took these photos and video. We're not sure when we'll get another one.....but keep checking for story updates!

Round and around and around I go

Just like a carousel! This afternoon, after my 1/2 hour nap, I had so much energy! I made laps around the dining room table! I walked and held on to the dining table furniture and made three laps around it all! Mama laughed with me as I told stories and took a walk!
Daddy and I read stories tonight before bedtime. We read Goodnight Maine, Sleepytime Farm and Fun Dog Sun Dog. Daddy and I stayed home tonight together while Mama went to church for a Fusion class. Daddy says I was a good kiddo!
Sorry there are no pictures of today's activities. I do turn 11 months old tomorrow so Mama will make sure to take lots of pictures :)

My morning activity...

While Mama was getting ready this morning before my friend Ainsley came over to play, I was "caught" on camera reading to myself. It has become one of my favorite activities. My favorite books are: Touch and Feel Clothes, Good Night Maine, Sleepytime Farm and Love You Forever.

for me? I took two pretty big tumbles today. I now have a knot on my head right above my right eye and I got a cut on my chin! I love walking and learning, but boy is it rough.

Although I got a couple of boo-boos, I seem to be doing okay!

Here is a good look at my two top teeth! Don't you like my yellow crayon bandaid?!?!

I got a package today

Today I got a package in the mail. It was from my Papa and Grandma Cummings. They sent me something that can't be bought here in the USA....Mum Mums! They are a yummy rice treat that come in two flavors; original and vegetable. I like both flavors! Here was my reaction to my gift...

My mini-vacation

My mini-vacation all started last Saturday when my Grandma Nina came to visit me and my mommy and daddy here in Oklahoma City! After she got settled, we read my Thomas the Tank Engine book together. My Grandma Nina bought this book for me when we first moved to Oklahoma City.On Sunday, we all went to church together. After church though we came home and went swimming. Grandma Nina didn't have a bathing suit, but she put her legs in and let me splash them. Grandma Nina took a picture of me and Mama swimming with my new friend Whale.

Monday was labor day and we stayed home and did no labor--the horror! ;) We stayed home and played all day! It was great! On Tuesday, Grandma Nina, Mama and I made the trek from Oklahoma City to Omaha. It was a long day, but an okay one. We stopped quite a few times for my sake--at places like a park! But mostly I played with my toys in the car. It was fun! I also got to visit with my Uncle TJ when we first got to town!

Wednesday was a full day of visiting friends and family. Mama and I dropped Grandma Nina off at work for the morning while we went to visit our friends John, Lindsey and Lyla! Lyla and I played for a little bit, but she was starting to get a cold and wasn't feeling like playing as much as I wanted to. I also got to visit Open Door Mission where Mama and Daddy used to work. We only visited our friends in the admin. building. It was great to see everyone! Grandma Nina, Mama and I spent most of our afternoon visiting my Great-Grandma Jo. I love her so much! She couldn't believe how big I have gotten and how much hair I have on my head! She was impressed with how I walk and how I pick objects up. Before bedtime, Grandma Nina helped me put on a piano concert for Mama. We even called Daddy and gave him a concert over the phone!

Thursday my Grandma Nina's cousins Susan and Kent came over for lunch with us. They brought yummy veggie pizza! I got to sit on the dining table after lunch was over and play a game with Kent. He sure was a fun guy!

Friday was another wonderful day at Grandma's house. We spent lots of time in the backyard watching princess and crawling through the grass. Mama's favorite part of the day was watching me eat a tomato straight from Grandma's garden!

For dinner on Friday night, Daddy, Mama and I got to visit our friends Derek, Heidi and Joey. Joey and I had fun playing together! We got along pretty well. I got to learn how to climb up steps at Joey's house! I didn't want to stop once I had started either! Mama says I was being such a curious and silly boy! I also had fun discovering the air conditioning vents. At our house in Oklahoma City they are at the tops of the walls. At Joey's house, they are on the floor. It was great!

Saturday we had a family barbecue for my Uncle TJ's birthday. It was in August, but we wanted to celebrate together. So everyone came over to my Grandma Nina's house for lunch. Mama made coleslaw, potato salad, jello salad, bbq chicken, steak, hot dogs and my Great Grandma Jo brought a watermelon! It was a feast! None of us walked out of the dining room hungry, that's for sure! We had a movie night at my Uncle TJ's house that night because Grandma Nina had to lead Kid's Alive at her church.

On Sunday morning, we went to Brookside. It was good to see all of our friends from Brookside. They were all very excited to hold me and play with me. I especially had fun playing with my friends Colin and Andrew. I can't wait to be a big boy like them! They're in elementary school and were helping me with my walking and they even showed me their drawings! Daddy, Mama and I spent the afternoon driving back to Oklahoma City. It was a very long drive. I was very ready to be out of the car by the time we got home!

Well, that was my vacation! I can't wait to get back into the swing of my routine here at home. It feels good to be back, that's for sure. Although, I know that I will miss all of my family and friends in Omaha! Lord willing, we'll make it back soon though!

A Quick Note

Mama, Daddy and I are back safely from Nebraska. We have fun pictures and videos to share with you all, but it is late and we all need our beauty sleep! Mama will help put the picture up tomorrow sometime. We love you!
