A wonderful quote

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

Last Night

Mommy and I welcomed Daddy home with a scavenger hunt. We started with a clue on the front door for him when he got home. He did a great job and found us waiting for him in the dining room. We were sitting there with a candle light spaghetti dinner awaiting him! He was happy we welcomed him home in such a fun way.
Today Mommy and I are just hanging out at home. Today is the 16th consecutive day with rain here in Oklahoma City. It hasn't rained all day, but it has rained some and is pretty yucky out. God must know that we need it to get us through the hot summer.
Well, I'm off to play.
Trying to place the star block where it belongs
Hiding in my toy box and loving it!

"Bubbles, bubbles everywhere...

...But not a drop to drink."

Today Mama and I played with bubbles. Its one of our favorite games to play.

Its pretty muggy right now down here. We're supposed to have rain every day this week. It should be interesting!

There's not too much more to report from Oklahoma City.

I'm 8 months old

Happy 8 months old to me! Mama set up a photo studio on our couch today. We had fun together!

All smiles!

Mama thinks this picture captures me well....I'm escaping out of the camera shot. I am becoming more and more mobile each day!

Here are two other videos to look at as well. My Grandma Nina gave me this bubble machine (which we'll bring back to Omaha on our next visit--along with your phones). I LOVE the bubbles. The second video goes along with my "escape artist" picture above....I'm almost there!

Getting SO big!

Hi! Its me again. I wanted to let you know that I'm getting SO big. I'm SO big that Mama moved my crib mattress down two stations today! Look!

Here's a video of why Mama decided it was a good idea to move my mattress down.

Please be praying for my Grampie Jamer and my 2nd cousin Michael Jamer. Grampie had to go to a specialist doctor yesterday and Michael was in a car accident with his family and is in critical condition. His wife and two kids were not seriously injured. Thank you for your prayers!

I love you all,
Benjamin

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddies and Grandpas out there! I wanted to show you what I gave to my Daddy this morning. Mama helped me with my handprints and writing the poem on the picture frame mat.

Daddy and I posing for the camera.
The poem reads:

Here are my little handprints, created in His design
They are curious and eager, and changing all the time
Hands that love to hold you tight, and clasp to pray together at night
When I'm grown and far away, these little hands with you will stay.

All my love,
Benjamin

Home Safe and Sound

We're home safe and sound. We had a great visit in Washington. I got to see my Grandpa Tom and Grandma Jeannie, my cousins Janie, Jewel and Jade, the Kisman family, and so many more people! Mama and I had a great time. We're pretty tired but ready to spend time with Daddy. We missed him something awful being gone for 10 whole days! We did have some fun--would you like to see a few pictures? Here they are!

My love,
Benjamin

Playing with a balloon my cousins got for me....I was having a great time yanking it downwards.

Trying jello cubes for the first time. Boy did I make a mess! But I sure enjoyed it in the process.

Enjoying a visit to Spokane, WA. I got to meet so many new friends!

I even practiced trying to crawl. I am right on the brink of crawling, but not quite there. Mama thinks I'll be crawling within the next week or two.

Mama, Laurel, Melanie and I went and painted pottery on Monday. Mama helped me put my hand prints on a set of coasters. They turned out really great!

I got to spend a while at my Grandpa's work. I even got to sit on his desk!

Mommy and I are still away visiting my family and friends in Wash St. Daddy could not come with us this time. He is at home working really hard. I will put some new pics of my trip when I get home this weekend.

Love you all

Laundry Day

Today I got to help Mama with the laundry. I was very curious about the knobs on the dryer. Mama said I was a good help though.
We wanted to get the laundry done because tomorrow Mama and I are flying to Washington to visit my Grandpa Tom. I am very excited! I'll try to post on the blog while we're away.

I love you,
Benjamin

Swim Time

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to show you pictures of my new friend, Dog! Mama got him for me just for our swim times. Mama, Daddy and I went swimming after dinner last night and had loads of fun!
The water was pretty warm--we can't wait till its super hot out and the water feels even warmer. You'll have to come for a visit to go swimming with us soon!
Looking foward to your visit,
