Fun Days

Yesterday was a great day. Mama, Daddy, Grandma Sheila and I went for a walk throughout downtown Oklahoma City. ,m,{_)PO(IUj7u8yn8mnmb76n (Benjamin's input). There was an art festival that we walked around, we visited the OKC National Memorial, and played in a fountain.

Then today, Mama, Daddy, Grandma Sheila and I went to church. We drove to Yukon, OK to visit a church where the Pastor and his wife are friends with some friends of ours in Omaha! It was a great time of worship and I got to spend some time in the nursery--it was fun! I wore a brand new outfit that Grandma Sheila got me--it has an African Safari on it. I wore it too because Papa Ron is in Mozambique right now and I wanted to think about him and pray for him. When we got home from church, Grandma Sheila put me into my Oscar the Grouch chair. I got my chair from Great Grammie and Great Grampie Jamer.

We went swimming this afternoon, but we didn't get any pictures because we were too busy having fun. Hopefully we'll go swimming again soon and I'll take pictures then.

All my love,
Benjamin

He's Official!

Well folks, my Daddy is official. He made it onto the City Rescue Mission website. Check him out!

I love him so much! I am proud of how he and my Mama have followed the Lord's leading by moving to Oklahoma City. I miss my Grandma Nina, my Uncle T.J., my Great Grandma Jo and all my friends at Brookside so very much, but I know that I'll see them again soon!

Here is a picture of me taking a drink of water out of a sippy cup. My doctor said that I could start trying a sippy cup if Mama would let me. I LOVE water! Whenever Mama takes a drink of her water, I want to have a drink too!
This afternoon was really sunny, so Mama and Grandma Sheila took me for a walk. I got to wear one of my ball caps. I then wore it out tonight when we went out for dinner. Grandma Sheila and Papa Ron used to take my Daddy and his brothers out for dinner at the end of their first week back to school when they were boys. So she decided it would be a great treat to take Daddy out for dinner since it was the end of his first week at his new job. Mama took a picture of me while out on the town in my ball cap.

Well, I had better go for now. Tomorrow is supposed to be 73 degrees without much humidity. We're planning a busy day exploring Oklahoma City! Ta ta for now.

Love to all,
Benjamin

Loads of Fun

Hello everyone. I wanted to show you how much fun I've been having here in Oklahoma City. Yesterday Mama was washing a few dishes and I was loving watching the water in the sink. So Mama plugged up the sink and let me splash my feet in the water. Grandma Sheila made sure that I was steady by holding on to me.

Tonight Mama decided to mush up some avacado and let me try it. I loved it! Here is a picture of me with a bit of avacado on my face. No worries though, I didn't let it go to waste!
Tonight after dinner, Daddy helped me to stabd up while holding onto the living room table so that I could play with Baby Tad. I was able to hold myself up for a few seconds before tipping over. I love being a big boy!

I hope all is well with you! All my love,
Benjamin

Oklahoma City

Here we are! We're moved in and somewhat settled. Most of our boxes are unpacked, but we've still got some left to do. I've had fun with my Grandma Nina as she was here until yesterday morning. My Grandma Sheila came in Monday evening and we're having fun together also. Here is a picture of me with both of my Grandmas.
I have had a tour of Daddy's new work. My favorite part was the water fountain. I not only drank from it, but I was having fun splashing and getting myself all wet!

Well, I am off to take a nap. I'm all tuckered out from playing with Mama this morning. I'll write more later!

Love to all,
Benjamin

My Great Grandma Jo

I wanted everyone to meet my Great Grandma Jo. She and I love to snuggle. She turned 89 last week and is just so much fun. Mama and I went to visit her this afternoon and are planning to go visit one more time tomorrow before we move--we're going to take Daddy with us though for tomorrow's visit. Here is a picture of my Great Grandma Jo and I snuggling.
I also got to play cars with my Great Uncle David. He's a really neat guy who knows how to play fun games. He has two grandboys of his own, so he has lots of experience playing.

Daddy is finishing up the packing as I sleep and Mama types this blog. We're going to have dinner with our friends Derek, Heidi and Joey tonight. Mama made banana bread to take with us--yummo! We'll blog our next blog from OKC!

Love to all,
Benjamin

6 month check-up

Mama and I went to my doctor's office this morning for my six month check-up. I weigh 20 lbs. 8 1/4 oz. and am 26 1/2 inches long. Dr. Votruba (Dr. Arispe wasn't there today) said that I am very strong and healthy. She said that I can start drinking from a sippy cup if Mama and Daddy would like me to. Mama said we'll try it one day soon. I had to get three immunizations today--they hurt. But Mama soothed me and I felt much better after an hour nap.

I hope that everyone has a great Tuesday!

I am such a big boy

Hi everyone, today I decided to be a big boy and drink from the bottle all by myself without any help from mommy. We are getting excited to move in just a few short days. I hope it is warmer in Oklahoma City cause it is freezen here in Omaha.

Updates

Okay, okay, okay...I know its been WAY too long since we posted last. There has been so much happening, we'll give you the short version.

Daddy and Mama spent a weekend in Oklahoma City for a job interview and decided that's where God is leading our family--so we're moving!

I've been going to work with Daddy and Mama for the past three weeks--I love helping out, but I'm getting bored and just want to play all day!
I am now rolling from my back to my tummy using the right side of my body--but I haven't yet figured out how to get from my tummy to my back. I have started eating more solids--I love sweet potatoes! I have tried bananas and squash as well, but don't care for them much. So that's how we've been lately. Sorry that we haven't kept up with keeping up. We'll do better with it.
I love you all! Benjamin
