Christmas Foam

Well, we've survived week #2 with 3 kiddos...or should I say I? James worked a lot of overtime this week as Open Door Mission has been collecting, sorting, and bagging Christmas presents for the Omaha and Council Bluffs communities. So, I played single mom most nights. I give a lot of extra credit to single moms everywhere! We're all doing well. Benjamin had his last week of preschool for 2009. Nate, Josie and I were able to stay on Thursday as the classroom helpers. It was loads of fun! Nathaniel is pushing through his first set of molars--all 4 at once! Josie is already so different. She is a very easy-going baby, unless she's hungry ;)

Benjamin's Christmas Program

Today we had the privilege of our first school Christmas program. Benjamin was wonderful! He stood still the whole time! Not a peep or a motion out of him. I think he may have a bit of stage fright. That's okay, we really enjoyed him anyway. Here are a few pictures and a video!

Our first week home

Its been a very busy week, but its been a great one. We said "Je t'aime" to Papa and Lala before they left for Kansas City on Monday. James and Nina had Tuesday off from work so that we could continue to adjust to life with 3 little ones!

Josie had her first pediatrician's appointment on Tuesday morning. She had already gained an ounce from her hospital discharge weight! 9 lbs. 4 3/4 oz! My girl is a great eater, thank you Jesus! Dr. Arispe said she looks wonderful! Her bilirubin count was a little elevated so he wanted to check her out again on Wednesday. We had a ton of snow between Tuesday and Wednesday, so Dr. Arispe sent us to Methodist Hospital to have her blood drawn. Her levels were already down, so we didn't need the phototherapy lights! Praise God!

Nina took the rest of the week off and helped me tremendously! She played with the boys each day and helped do some cleaning (like under the couches) that was long overdue! Honestly, I think the boys are bored with just me now ;)

Benjamin has grown into having a sister. I was unsure with the reactions that he had at the hospital, but I think it was just because we were in such a strange environment. Ben loves to help burp Josie after her feedings and has even helped wipe her bum at diaper time!

Nathaniel loves touching Josie's face and pointing out her eyes and nose. He'll then point to his! He has already tried sharing his plastic wrench with her and has even tried to snuggle her in her carseat!

Josephine Lily Beth

She's here!!!

Josephine Lily Beth arrived Sat. Dec. 5, 09 at 10:12 am. She weighed in at 9 lbs 11 oz and is 21 in. long. She has a full head of long, dark brown hair that already looks a bit wavy!

Both Josie and Patti are doing well. We're all home adjusting to no sleep during the night and lots of energy needed for playing during the day!

Thank you for your prayers throughout Patti's pregnancy and for Josie's safe arrival.

The following pictures were ones we missed out on with Nate because of his fast arrival. So we took advantage of things and had fun! Our L&D nurse, Ashley, said she loved us because we were laughing and joking and having such fun inbetween contractions!
