My Family Reunion

Well, Mama and I returned to OKC today from our family reunion in Wyoming/Montana. I had so much fun meeting my Great-Grandma Donna, my Uncle Max & Aunt Karen & my cousin Emily, my Uncle Ron & Auntie Kristin and their kiddos, and I got to see my Grandpa Tom.

I was able to go through Yellowstone National Park for the first time. It was beautiful! Old Faithful was kind of a blah, but it was beautiful as all get out! I am going to show you some of the pictures.....we did so much, its hard to explain in words, but hopfully pictures will do it! A picture is worth a thousand words, right?!?!
Reading the instruction manuel on our flight to Billings, Montana.
Trying on my new winter boots and loving them!
Sitting in Yellowstone National Park.
There was a traffic jam just to see this male elk. My cousin Emily took this picture. She got closer than Mama and I. Mama said that we should stay further away for our safety.

Here are Mama and I at the Continental Divide.

My cousin Emily is such a silly gal! We had so much fun together.

Ousel Falls, Big Sky, Montana. Mama and I took a 3 mile hike with our cousins to see this beautiful creation.

Welcome to OKC!

Today was a good day. Mama, Daddy and I got to go to the OKC airport this morning and meet Grandma Sheila and Papa Ron. It was a lot of fun to give them snuggles!

I also got to go to McDonald's and meet my Uncle Carl, Aunt Lori and cousins Kelsie and Kendra. We ate lunch together before the whole crew went to Branson, Missouri. They will be spending a week there before coming back to OKC to spend a week with Mama, Daddy and me! I can't wait till they get back!

I'm 9 months old!

Well, I made it to a whole 9 months old. Not only do I have my two bottom teeth, I am really trying to push through my two top teeth! My gums are so sore, I won't even let Mama rub oral-gel on them! So tylenol has been a big help!

9 month check-up

Well, even though I am 2 days shy of turning 9 months old, I had my 9 month-old well check visit today at Dr. Mickey's office.
When the nurse weighed me I was 22 lbs. and 4 oz. and was 28 1/4 inches long! Dr. Mickey said that my height is in the 75th percentile for boys my age (meaning I'm going to be on the taller end of average height) and that my weight was in the 50th percentile (so I'm average here).
Dr. Mickey was impressed with the way that I sit and stand on my own and says that I am doing so well with my standing that I am more comparable to a 12 month old! Yippee!
He said that I am a strong and healthy boy altogether!

Oklahoma City Zoological Park

Today was a great day! Mama and I went to the OKC Zoo this morning. It was a good day because it was FREE admission! Mama thought that it would be the perfect chance to check out what the zoo was like. She always has great ideas!

It was a beautiful day-quite warm already when we arrived at the zoo at 8:30 this morning. Mama made sure to bring extra bottles of water so that we could keep cool. One thing that was a nice surprise was the amount of shade that was along the walking paths. That helped keep us cooler as well!
We got to see so many neat animals: an ant eater, a tortoise, kangaroos, meerkats, a red panda bear (we even got to see him being fed), seals, an albino peacock, and so many other animals. Here are some pictures that Mama took.

Kangaroos playing and lounging in the warm sun.

A family of meerkats looking out at the crowd.

A rhino basking in his glory.

One of the zoo's staff members feeding the red panda a green grape.

Mama took this picture of what looked like an albino peacock. She said she'd never seen one before.

Although the animals were great, my favorite thing at the zoo today was the spraying misters! I loved them!

Well, that's my day today. I'm pooped and should get to bed.

What a day!

Happy Sunday! We have had so much fun. First off we went to church and Ms. Joyce told Mama that I was the best baby. There were 5 infants, me and a couple of walking toddlers. The other babies kept the nursery workers busy, but I had fun playing and entertaining!

After church, Mama suggested we go to the Quail Springs Mall because they have a kids play area. I had so much fun!
Here I am standing up and holding onto one of the toys.

Mama and I had fun crawling around the play area.

Daddy helped me get read to crawl through the dog house.

Then tonight Mama and I went to the spray park. It was loads of fun. We got soaking wet! It was the best!

This was when the fountain started spraying me.

I was sitting so close to the fountain that it started squirting in my mouth!

Well, its bathtime. I'm going to go splash in the tubby with Mama. Have a good night.

Check out my new toy!

When Mama was looking through my closet yesterday, she found one of my big boy toys. Miss Candace gave it to her when we still lived in Omaha. I thought the colors were wonderful and I thought I would show it to you!
Its raining again today, so Mama and me will be playing inside. Its the weekend though, so Daddy will be home tonight to spend lots of time playing with me! Yippee!!!

1, 2, 3, Jump!

Mama and I had a good day today. I wanted Mama right by my side all day! I think it may be because I am having soar gums--I just wanted her to comfort and play with me all day. Daddy took a fun video tonight of my bathtime, enjoy!

Watch out world...

...because here I come. So many changes to update you on.....

I am crawling like crazy! Mama and Daddy are having to Benjamin-proof the house. I am such a curious little guy. I am having loads of fun though!

I am getting two teeth in. Mama and Daddy can feel the tops of them and can barely see them. I am chewing on things even more than I was before. I haven't been too cranky, but I have had a bit of dry skin around my mouth--it must be from all the drool!

I have started clapping my hands after Mama or Daddy clap their hands. I started doing it yesterday--it must have been on the praise songs we sang at church, I just had to join in!

I am also having fun learning to stack the rings on my ringstand. I was being creative on Sunday by trying to stack a tongue depresser. I got it on but decided that the orange ring was better.

Well, that's about it for now. All my love,
Benjamin

Freedom is Free!!!

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
God's great gift is eternal life. God has given us His gift freely so that we might live with him! Won't you accept His gift?

Well, my first Independence Day celebrations were lots of fun! It started Tuesday night when Mama, Daddy and I went to church for Northfamilylive and a fireworks celebration.

Here I am sitting on Mama's lap having my first small taste of cotton candy. I wasn't quite sure about it!
Here I am watching my first fireworks show. I was mezmerized by them! They weren't too loud for me because I had cotton in my ears.

Then Mama and I had a date morning and went to the Libertfest parade in Edmond, OK. We didn't stay for the whole thing because it was starting to get too hot and I was getting tired.

Here we are, watching the parade. Mama put me on her shoulders so that I could see all the fun things!

We saw tractors.....

...horses...
...and police motor bikes that drove in circles.

We spent the evening as a family. We drove back to Edmond for the Libertyfest fireworks show. The fireworks show is rated in the top 10 shows in the country!

They gave away free watermelon and I was loving it!

I really loved it!
They were also giving away free temporary tattoos! I got a smiley face on my arm.

Mama got me some new pj's because I've outgrown all my other ones. This is one of my pairs of pj's!

The fireworks were beautiful (at least that's what Mama and Daddy say. I slept through the whole show!)
Some more fireworks.
It was definitely a great day!

Check out my two new videos. One is of a game Mama and I were playing while waiting for the fireworks and the other is a special surprise. Check it out!

Stand Up, Stand Up....

for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross!

I'm sure learning to stand up physically and spiritually. We got to go to church this morning where I played in the nursery and where Mommy and Daddy learned to be authentic disciples of Christ! Then we came home and I practiced my standing--all by myself!
